Connecting to WiFi Networks

How to access a closed network

To access a closed network in the Cingular Communication Manager, you

must set up a Profile for that network. Follow these steps to create a closed

Network Profile:

1. Open the Cingular Communication Manager. You will see the main

window.

2. Select Edit Connection Profiles from the Connections menu. The

Network Profiles window

will now be displayed.

3. Select the WiFi heading in the left pane of the network profiles

window.

4. Click the Add button. The first page of properties for the new profile

appears.

5. Enter the name of the network you want to add in the SSID field. Be

aware that the network name is case sensitive and must be entered

exactly as provided by the administrator of the closed network to which

you want to connect.

6. Check the This is a non-broadcasted network (closed) box to identify

this as a closed network.
